I think "if it's not too much trouble" seems too impersonal. Why did you help yourself to milk from the fridge? Would it be too much trouble to ask for a glass of milk?

I think "if it's not too much trouble" seems too impersonal. The problem with the second sentence is that "to convince" might have a different meaning then the one you think it does. You convince people when you make them believe in something. Why did you help yourself to milk from the fridge? Would it be too much trouble to ask for a glass of milk? If I wanted to fall over myself with politeness, I might say. I'm sorry, but would it be too much trouble if I were to ask you for a glass of milk? WildWest.

In an aging population virtually all of us will have to face the issues that are presented in this book. We should be thankful that we will have such wise and clear advice when we get to that moment.

This is a wonderful book for any middle aged person with aging parents! I say it is a must-read. The author comes with her own experiences and how she was convicted and helped through the difficult areas. It's not all rozy. We may be determined to take care of our parents, but are we really prepared for it? This book gives lots of food for thought and lots of practical advice. Highly recommend.

If you have an aging person in your life, grandparent, parent, friend, neighbor, RUN and purchase this book. Benton's writing is frank, sincere, Biblically-founded, and deeply insightful. It is the practical and uplifting kick I very much needed. I recommend this book to every Christian. If you are not in this situation yet, you will be eventually.
