See answers at the end of this section. The truth behind the fiction. The prophecy behind the scenes. Two significant pieces of prophecy that play into the Left Behind series are the role of Russia ( Rosh in the Bible) as an enemy of Israel and the future importance of Babylon. And when it’s all over, none of the enemies of God are left standing. So great will be the carnage that the people of Israel will spend seven months finding and burying the dead troops. When the early books of the Left Behind series were published in the last half of the 1990s, many readers would have assumed the role of Russia was truly fiction. The Soviet Union had collapsed in 1991. Jenkins which starts the Left Behind series

Left Behind theology actually leaves behind the truth! The rapture theory essentially splits Jesus’ return into two parts: A near return when He comes into the clouds around the earth. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

First off lets define what the last days are. There are 2 prophesies to look a. The last days are defined as the continuous period of time from the ministry of Jesus to the second coming. There are 2 prophesies to look at. The day of Jezreel prophesy of Hosea and the 70 week prophecy of Daniel 9 to consider. The unfortunate souls left behind by this "rapture" will endure seven horrible years of tribulation. Author David Currie grew up convinced that one day all true Christians will suddenly be snatched up to heaven. The unfortunate souls left behind by this "rapture" will endure seven horrible years of tribulation, at the end of which Christ will return to earth for a glorious thousand-year reign. Marshalling evidence that's as startling as it is compelling, Currie argues that these prophecies of war and tribulation don't point to some still-unrealized apocalyptic future.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Have you been wondering as a Christian, or non-Christian, what many think -- and expect -- will happen in the "last days" or "end times" with all the talk and focus in the headlines -- and some churches -- about our future?  And with all the events taking place in the Middle East, especially Israel? And Iran? Are you confused because of various end-time scenarios and conflicting opinions promoted through popular books on prophecy, the Left Behind series, televangelists, preachers, and others speaking of a great tribulation, rapture, Armageddon, Apocalypse, the destruction of the earth, a new heaven and earth, a second coming, and a millennium?  There has been an overload of  teaching and information about these things over the last century -- however sincere and cloaked in good intentions -- yet with long-held and deep-seated traditions and doctrines, all borne of a lack of accurate knowledge (particularly the Hebrew and Greek) and information based on compelling evidence.   Would you like to know what the Bible actually says about all these issues?  For God's Word itself -- "Let Scripture Interpret Scripture" -- and the Holy Spirit are the only necessary interpreters. The Last Days Are Left Behind will challenge your thinking, help to erase the confusion, and provide clarity regarding the present-day purpose of God. Author James Ellis demonstrates end-time truth based logically on solid evidence after a linguistically accurate, biblically consistent, and intellectually honest examination of the...  Bible's prophetic passages and verses  original languages--Hebrew and Greek  social, cultural, and historical context of Scripture  relevance of the audience spoken or written to in God's Word.

This book is chock full of biblical and historical reasons to reject the currently prevailing eschatological model (i.e., Premillennial Dispensationalism) of many (if not most) churches, authors and theologians in the West today.

Modern Premillennialism/Dispensationalism appeared conspicuously in concurrence with the emergence of Zionism less than a century ago. This same eschatological (think 'Last Days') perspective purposes to ignore history, contort the plain meaning of certain Scripture, refuse to let the symbolic language of the prophetic Revelation of Christ to John be interpreted according to the use of those same symbolic language in previous biblical prophecies.

While not entirely organized and labelled to my own liking, this book is absolutely chock full of biblical and historical analysis and arguments to the effect that the eschatological view described immediately above is off the mark.

It covered a multitude of topics clearly and without a lot of 'garbage speak'
It does fit very well with my theology and did confirm many viewpoints,.
I would recommend this to any one with questions on the current dogma of many denominations.

I found this book to be extremely in depth on the end time subjects. With in-depth insight into the original text translations while maintaining a logical thought process. This book will make a great reference document.
