A Rose for Pinkerton book. This is a wonderful book. Steven Kellogg has the rare gift of being able to tell more story with a few strokes of his paint brush than many can with words

A Rose for Pinkerton book. Pinkerton seems lonely  . Steven Kellogg has the rare gift of being able to tell more story with a few strokes of his paint brush than many can with words. My children loved this and soon my granddaughter will love this book. I remember my children staring at the pictures for long moments even after the words were read to them.

I love the Pinkerton books, as well as all of Steven Kellogg's books. So many children's books are just ho hum in storyline and illustration but these books are intricately illustrated, we always notice something new when we read them. And, they enjoyable enough that I don't tire of reading them over and over, as my children request

I gift this book to all of my friends at their baby showers or for kids early years birthday parties. I grew up on Steven Kellogg and I'm overjoyed that these books are back in print! Pinkerton is adorable and I loved pouring over all the line illustrations and sweet little details.

Pinkerton is a favorite for another generation of our family. My girls loved these books when they were small and now I am purchasing for my grandchildren. Kellogg also did the artwork for some Mercer Meyer books that we love. We hope these books stay available for a long, long time.
