This book was well loved by my kids when they were babies. I use it now in my work with developmentally delayed toddlers (speech therapy) and it's great. Since it sticks to one subject, ie.cats, it works great for my kiddos who aren't talking at all yet. Repetition is so good for these kids and the simple pictures lend themselves to that.

I see a complaint about the page with the cat eating but I like that page. "Eat" is a great early word. Have to admit that the "feel" of the food bowl is not too inspiring but I do like the inclusion of eating since it is a good everyday activity and even significantly delayed kids attend when I act silly and make an "eating" sound as we look at the picture.

It's almost surprising how much enjoyment such a simple book has provided over the years.

We bought this book second hand and it's in great condition. Other than the stickers being missing (which is common in these books and doesn't hurt the book any whatsoever), it seems hardly used. My 4yr old son wanted this book and likes to read it before bed. It's simple, yet informative about the size of kittens and what they can and cannot do at their different stages in life. It talks about kittens not being able to hear or see when first born, explains how they play, how their mom may treat them and how the kittens nurse. I recommend this book to any child who likes animals!

I have a grandson who finds this book so funny! Whenever he comes over he runs to get this book and looks for the "oh oh" page which is the page where the cat spills the dirt from the plant. The pictures are simple and clear which tells the story even without reading the words. It is a sturdy hard book that comes in the shape of a very cute kitty and would hold up well with the little ones. So even though I had one at my house, I found another one so he could have one at home. Thanks Amazon for helping me find this book quickly and easily.

Very cute book and nice touchy feely aspects on most pages. The first page on the inside is the best with a very fluffy white cat and white fluffy patch to match on the page. I think they could do a bit better with some of the pages tho like having another different cat with different fur to touch instead of a cat food dish with a spot that is suppose to be hard plastic? Overall a great little book with cute pictures but sometimes it seems someone is trying to come up with a cheap texture idea to fill a page lol.

Like my other review, this was an excellent sticker book according to my wife who needed to create names and games for her preschool class. The class was named after cats and this book was perfect.

Our little boy really enjoys the touch and feel series, and this is a good one, especially since he likes cats!

He loves the rough tongue of one cat, and the shiny tag on another. The little kitten in a wicker basket, but then you find two whole pages taken with a cat and his "hard yellow food bowl." ?? Couldn't DK, a publishing house with some really incredible books out there, have thought of a better one than that?

Still, the cat is cute, even if the bowl texture is boring. And one page doesn't ruin a book (though it's a short book!)

I can still recommend this one enthusiastically, especially if your little one is a cat or animal lover!

At 10 months my daughter became fascinated with our house cat but he wouldn't sit around long enough for her to poke at him so we decided to get her the next best thing -- touch & feel books! This one features a white furry chest, pink rough tongue, smooth shiny tag, hard yellow bowl & scratchy straw basket -- only 2 are actually cat textures. I think they should've done one with the cat's whiskers, like in the other Touch & Feel book: Pets. Or one of the cat's padded paws would be nice too... My daughter skips right over the yellow bowl & shiny tag pages.

IT ARRIVED IN A TIMELY MANNER AND IN GOOD CONDITION. I LOVED IT!!!!!!
