What did you put into your pocket is a very cool and interesting story. If you could put anything in your pocket what would it be?
I read this book to my preschoolers several years ago. This year, I made everyone a pocket with drawings from the story. It was a huge hit. I ordered everyone their very own copy of the book, from the use book section. Parents could read the story to their Kiddo while they act out the story.

I happened upon this book looking for picture books for younger children. It is a huge hit with primary school children and quite a few adults as well. It's rhythmic, silly, and full of fun. Terrific for phonemic awareness. The bold illustrations are the perfect complement to the rollicking chants.

Lots of fun words for kids to improve literacy. Then they get to write about what they'd put in their pocket!

I ordered this because my grandma gave it to me as a kid and I remembered how much I enjoyed it. It does not seem to be exactly the same, illustrations are not the same, but the story is cute! My grandson (that I bought it for) also loves the funniness of it!

It was just ok

Boy is the School Library Journal lady who reviewed this a cranky old coot. This book is crazy fun. It doesn't make a lot of sense, and I cannot figure out what the drawings have to do with the story, but both my kids dig it. And so do I.

My 4 year old son loves this book. We laugh so hard thoughout the book that we can hardly talk. We imagine that we have our own pocket and what it would feel like to put all the items in. It's great for imagination and teaching the senses.
