First off, to be counted an European country you have to either be located on the continent of Europe or under the direct/indirect rule of a European country. America fulfils neither of these criterias. Second, while it can be argued that Anerica culture is an offshoot of various European ones, this does not change anything. America is as different from the UK as the UK is different from mainland Europe. So no it isn't a European country. Too much time has passed since its independence from Britain to like Europe, even though the Majority of immigrants to the US were from Europe. k views · View 3 Upvoters.
