Where could it be--in the toy chest, under the bed, somewhere in the closet? Surely not in sister’s bubble bath! Soon all the animals in the house are helping Little Critter in his search, and kids can, too!

The Mercer Mayer series has been wonderful for my granddaughter. She loves to go barefoot in the house so looking for her shoes when it is time to go out can really be an adventure. This made the idea of finding her shoes a lot of fun for her.

My granddaughter loves to flip open the flaps as I read the book to her. We both enjoy the stories and they are funny and make you laugh. Little fingers can be tough on books but these are well made. Mercer Mayer is our favorite!

At the time I bought this book, I didn't realize it was a lift-the-flap book -- that means more Mercer Mayer art and more "win".

The story itself, of course, is adorable and completely relatable to preschoolers and early elementary school students. The illustrations, of course, are even more adorable and relatable and I love, love, love the frog.
