Bloomsbury Paperbacks. For more than two decades, psychologist and journalist Daniel Goleman has been scouting the leading edge of the human sciences for what's new, surprising, and important. In Focus, he delves into the science of attention in all its varieties, presenting a long overdue discussion of this little-noticed and under-rated mental asset that matters enormously for how we navigate life.

Marvin is not a happy sheep. All the other sheep are bigger than him, and can run faster and jump higher than he can. So Marvin decides to do something about it. He eats. And eats, and eats, until he is so big that there is nothing left for him to eat in the world—at which point Marvin eats the world itself! But that is a step too far, and what went in is going to have to come out. This is a rumbustious story that shows how it is possible to take some self-improvement just a little bit too far.

The illustrations in this book are great. I love the story and the idea behind it. I gave it four stars, because like Marvin we wanted MORE. I felt that the ending was too quick and could have been more interesting. I would definitely recommend it as a silly, fun story for 2-5 year old book lovers.

I love this book. It is fun to read and I don't mind reading it over and over as most toddlers like to do. The best is when my little girls know to say "baaa" at the right part - they get so excited about it.

We bought "Marvin gets Mad" on a whim and my daughter LOVED it! I was very excited to find other Marvin books for her. This one is her favorite, although I like "Marvin gets Mad" the most.

I've got all the books now am a happy camper. Again, My two year old loves these and the hubs and I are obviously willing to do as our princess requests. "Marvin, Marvin, Marvin!!!"

My three year old loves this story! It's one of her favorites and we both laugh every time we read it. The illustrations are great and it teaches a valuable lesson about the dangers of greed. I highly recommend it for young children.

And so now I am purchasing this book because it is an important lesson for sheep, and children (and this mommy) to rememeber. Trust me, you want this in your collection :)

My son who is 2 1/2 years old cracked up when I read this book to him. Something that he hasn't done when it comes to books. He let out a heart felt belly laugh! And couldn't stop laughing every time he looked at the page. So I must reccomend this book to all silly toddlers who think sick lambs are funny!

The pictures are also very pretty.
My 9 month old baby is in love with Marvin. she has been since she was 4 months old. This book has been her absolute favourite from the first time we read it to her. She clearly gets excited when she sees it. She also likes "Marvin gets mad". And now every time we see a sheep in another book, she says "baaaaaaaaaaaaa" at the top of her lungs! We want more Marvin!!!!! Will be a sad day when she learns that the animal is actually called a sheep and not Marvin :)
