The Kingdom Keepers is a series of children's novels written by American author Ridley Pearson. Its plot follows the adventures of five teens who, by day, are holographic hosts in the Disney Theme Parks. By night, they battle Disney villains to keep them from taking control of the parks, the Disney entertainment empire, and the world.

In this book fantasy adventure, Kingdom Keepers V: Shell Game by Ridely Pearson there is a war for the base in. .I had the privilege of meeting author Ridley Pearson in March of this year and getting Shell Game autographed. It will make a wonderful gift for my niece this Christmas.

In this book fantasy adventure, Kingdom Keepers V: Shell Game by Ridely Pearson there is a war for the base in Disney World. The base is what controls the parks and the whole of Disney World. The original Kingdom Keepers (Finn, Charlene, Maybeck, Phibily, and Willa) are back to stop the Overtakers from taking over the base. Each book in the series is better than the last and Shell Game is no exception.

As the Disney Dream joins the cruise fleet, a special treat is in store for guests aboard its inaugural sail from Cape Canaveral to Los Angeles: the Disney Host Interactive teenage guides will be part of the Dream crew.

As the five Kingdom Keepers enter high school, everything is about to change  .

As the five Kingdom Keepers enter high school, everything is about to change. The Maintenance Base that controls all four parks in Disney World is under attack by the Overtakers, a group determined to change Disneyforever. Relationships between the Keepers are no longer as simple as they once were. In fact, nothing is as simple as it once was. An after-hours visit to Typhoon Lagoon is a game changer. The Keepers lose one of their most valuable supporters. But there's work to do . . .The Disney Dream leaves Port Canaveral on an historic cruise to Los Angeles with a special treat in store for guests: the Disney Host Interactive guides are on board. Finn, Maybeck, Charlene, Willa, and Philby join guests as the DHI experience moves to one of the most advanced cruise ships in the world. But all is not right below decks. Strange things are happening. Only the Kingdom Keepers know the truth behind their invitation to be in attendance: nearly every Disney villain is aboard the ship, including Maleficent. The Overtakers have infiltrated the cast and crew. And no oneknows what they have planned. The Dream sets sail filled with enthusiastic guests and crew. But not for long. Maleficent takes over a video screen and warns the guests of trouble to come. With the ship arriving to the beaches of Castaway Cay--its first of many exotic ports of call--the Kingdom Keepers are under attack; back home the Base is threatened and about to fall. The Overtakers have expanded in ways never foreseen, and it's clear they intend to use this element of surprise to accomplish what has eluded them so far: victory. But not if Finn Whitman and friends have anything to say about it.

As I have stated in previous Kingdom Keepers reviews - these books are not just meant for kids. Book V hits the ground running from where Book IV left off. It grabs you & keeps you sprinting around the cruise ship. Who is good? Who is bad? Where people are concerned, it sometimes gets hard to tell. The Villains though - oh yeah - they're bad. No doubt about it. They have those Kingdom Keepers running to stay ahead of the Villains. Sometimes this is where I do get frustrated. Can't the Kingdom Keepers ever truly come out ahead? They hurt & delay the Villains, but almost never conclusively win a battle. Like its predecessors - this book is a page turner (even on a Kindle). Yeah - some implausibility again but as I've said before - this is fiction/fantasy. Roll with it. Anxiously anticipating the next & last book in the series. Wish Disney would make a Kingdom Keepers movie.

Long and drawn out. I like it when the theme is set in the parks. I can relate to being in the areas they are talking about in the story, but this book they are on a ship. The story is long and drawn out. It took me some time to read, because it didnt' hold my attention.

I am not looking forward to the next book which seems they are still on the ship. I want them back in the parks, in areas I can relate with. I read the books on my Kindle, and I felt the price was way to high. This book should have been slashed in half or a sales item.

I'll admit it: I've read all of the Kingdom Keepers books and I'm a 39 year old father of four. To be honest, my wife and I got into this series as a sort of replacement for actually visiting our favorite vacation spot in the world (which happens to be Walt Disney World, oddly enough). But, even though this novel does not take place in WDW (well, it does... a little bit), the characters (Disney and Pearson's) are very fun. I always recommend these books to other people, even if they are not as obsessed with Disney World as I am. Some of the twists and turns in this book can be a bit far fetched but, come on. This is fantasy that we're talking about here.

Bottom line: read it.

I'm writing this on behalf of my daughter who requested this book. She's read books 1 - 4 and was anxious to get to book 5. However, she's struggling with it. She's about 1/2 way through and is considering abandoning it. She said it took way to long for the first crossover to occur and she's finding this book to be a bit boring. She LOVED book 4, so maybe that's the issue.

The excitement continues as Flinn and the other DHIs once again fight to save and maintain the magic of Disney. Battling the unknown and always on the defense, the DHIs are becoming growing physically, mentally, as well as technically.

I just discovered the Kingdom Keepers this summer, and have been singing its praises since. This is a series that I highly recommend for middle students to adults of all ages.

The Kingdom Keepers series continues to keep my daughter spellbound. We love reading this series together, and when she reads indepently, I always get to hear about what's going on at Disney "after dark". Definitely a series worth reading!
My daughter has been purchasing and reading these books since the 6th grade She is now in the 11th and loves having discussions about the series with like minded people
