Book two of the Mistmantle Chronicles is a fabulous continuation to the series. In this addition to the series, old and new enemies arise to threaten the inhabitants of Mistmantle and our heroes are forced to deal with threats from within and without. While some sword fighting between heroes and villains takes place, the heroism primarily comes as our protagonists face frustration and captivity with the aid of faith and friendship.

The full 1st British edition and signed by the author as advertised. The American editions are bigger and have more interesting illustrations, but the story is the same, and that's what counts. This charming tale is second in the "Mistmantle Chronicles" series. If you liked the "Redwall" books by Brian Jacques, you'll like "The Mistmantle Chronicles" by M. I. McAllister just as much if not more. Even if you did not like the "Redwall" stories, you may still enjoy these books, as they are very different, despite featuring animals as the characters.
