The Everafter War book. Michael Buckley, Peter Ferguson (Illustrator). The Sisters Grimm has become the children’s book equivalent of a summer blockbuster: minimal plot, minimal character development, lots of explosions and running around, and a few hackneyed ‘emotional’ scenes thrown in to pretend like the story has depth. A handful of interesting twists in The Everafter War are not enough to outweigh all of the weird stuff that happens.

This book was so interesting. If you are planing to read this book you should read the 1st book first, because it will make every thing make sense. This book is very good book to read if you have to read a fiction book for school of if you are going on a long trip or even if you just love reading and are looking for something new to read. WARNING- I WOULD ONLY LET 9 YEAR OLDS AND OLDER READ THIS BOOK BECAUSE THERE IS DEATH IN THIS BOOK AND HARSH TIMES! If you like adventurer and romance and fairy tales you will love this book. I thought this book was the best book I have ever read and it leaves you with a huge cliff hanger. I hope you love this book as much as I do. I just couldn't stop reading this book, I spent hours just sitting on my bed reading this book. Enjoy your reading.

I normally do not like cliffhangers, but this book is an exception. Darkly funny with witty new characters, this book was simply wonderful. Michael Buckley created a huge twist that I never saw coming in his 7th book of this famous series. I can't wait to read the next one.

I bought the “Sisters Grimm” books for a student. She absolutely loved them. She would dive into it and come back a few days later ready for the next one.

For two years, Sabrina Grimm has searched for a way to awaken her parents from an enchanted sleep - hoping that when they do wake up all will live happily ever after. But Sabrina of all people knows that fairy tales don't always end happily - she lives in Ferryport Landing which is filled with fairy tale characters. Ferryport Landing is under attack by the Master and his Henchman and it will take everything that Sabrina and her family have to help save Ferryport Landing. After living among fairy tale characters for so long Sabrina and her younger sister Daphne think that nothing can surprise them, but they are wrong - dead wrong.

"The Everafter War" is the exciting seventh book in Michael Buckley's excellent "The Sisters Grimm" children's fantasy series. Buckley kicks up the pace quite a bit with this book as there is now a full scale war in Ferryport Landing, which leads to many action packed scenes. As the series has progressed the characters have matured, most notably Sabrina and her sister Daphne, and the struggles of both to show adults that they aren't children any longer is very believable, as are the struggles of the adults around them to accept the fact that Sabrina and Daphne are indeed growing up. One of the things Buckley does so well in this series is to take beloved fairy tale characters and turn them upside down so you never quite know who to trust and he outdoes himself in this book with some twists that will shock readers. While the book is aimed at children, parents should be aware that while there isn't a lot of violence in the book, there is death, including the death of one character that may upset younger readers.

"The Everafter War" moves the plot of the series along quite a bit, but still ends on a (very funny) cliffhanger that will leave readers anxiously waiting for the next book in this enchanting series. Well done.

The Grimm Sisters series is very fun, and totally pulls you along. Although they are complete adventures in every book, they really are not stand-alone, and need to be read in order. This one especially leaves all the strings dangling. I'm going to suffer waiting for book 8. I recommend this book for girls 8-13, and adults like me who never grow up. The stories are a little violent, but not terribly. No sex or drugs. I really like the honest treatment of a young teen's doubts, worries, and perspective on a world they are not yet able to control. We all can identify.
