The book has mostly credible information, but seems to follow the author's personal preferences more closely. The flow of the book is poor which causes it to exhibit redundancy of content throughout chapters. There are frequent references to other locations within the book which make for obstructed reading. It also has many lists and tables of information which also obstruct the reading flow. The book's title is also never achieved, at least not the last part: "and Love It!" There is nutritional information and feeding advice for infants, toddlers, and adolescents, but there is not a noticeable amount of how to help children love it. There are some suggestions on how to encourage them to be compliant with parental cues to eat healthier, but it is minimal in comparison, Overall I found the book uninteresting and just wanted to get through it. I ended up just skimming the latter portion.

The only reason I couldn't rate this as a 5 is because I couldn't stand to READ it from front to back. But it is great to use as a resource. I got this book while pregnant with my 3rd child and flip thorugh it every month or 2 as a resource. I have a bad eater and a good eater so I am determined to get things right and it really is a great resource of what to feed your children at what ages. I will continue to use this and it is a great gift idea for any new mom!

I found Dr. Wood's book when my oldest was 2 1/2 and it completely changed some poor habits that we were helping our daughter to create. This book is packed with useful tips for feeding your kids at every age and is so practical. It's saved me a lot of stress and gave me the encouragement to stay on the right path and not let whining take me off! My daughter is now 4 and it's so much better than she did when we first found this book! I consider it a must read for all parents.

Thank you Dr. Wood. Your voice is comforting in a sea of madness and confusion around kids and nutrition. Your suggestions are "doable" and your precautions are moderate. Thanks for not taking any extreme positions. I recommend this book to all kids and their parents.
