Barbara Delinsky and many other breast cancer survivors tell about their experiences, what they went .

Barbara Delinsky and many other breast cancer survivors tell about their experiences, what they went through and, perhaps more important, how they felt. The many snippets of advice make this book priceless. Statistics say that one in seven women will get cancer. I have since given a copy to several friends and recently to my sister, when they were diagnosed. Too bad I have had to purchase so many copies, but everyone remarks on how informative and helpful the book is.

Breastless But Still Breathing: A Breast Cancer Survivor’s Journey is an amazing true story of survival in the face of unimaginable pain. This incredibly compelling book is filled with raw courage, gritty determination, and boundless hope as Anita reveals her innermost feelings during her heroic struggle against an insidious killer. You will laugh, cry and empathize with this honest, stubborn woman as she endures the loss of her hair, fingernails, skin, and nearly every female part of her body in her valiant fight for survival

Some breast cancers are found early, some are benign . Holly Bertone is a breast cancer survivor and living with Hashimoto’s disease.

Some breast cancers are found early, some are benign, and others are deadly. But what we all can relate to is the fear that comes with the diagnosis. It’s been seven years, but I still remember receiving my breast cancer diagnosis like it was yesterday. I was on the train heading home when I received the phone call from my primary care doctor’s office. Except my doctor of 10 years was on vacation, so another doctor who I’d never met made the phone call instead. She’s also an author, blogger, and healthy living advocate.

Breastless But Still Breathing: A Breast Cancer Survivors Journey is an amazing true story of survival in the face of unimaginable pain. This incredibly compelling book is filled with raw courage, gritty determination, and boundless hope as Anita reveals her innermost feelings during her heroic struggle against an insidious killer.

You will laugh, cry and empathize with this honest, stubborn woman as she endures the loss of her hair, fingernails, skin, and nearly every female part of her body in her valiant fight for survival. You will spend time in her world of doctors, technicians and nurses where chemotherapy, surgery and radiation are the draconian weapons of choice against a monstrous disease that strikes 1 in 7 women.

You will be transported as she shares her intimate thoughts of frustration, anger, fear, and hope in this inspirational narrative of an ordinary woman who faced extraordinary challenges during her diagnosis, treatment and recovery from breast cancer.

This book was my lifesaver, literally. Had I not read this book, I would not have chosen a bilateral mastectomy, and the surgeon would not have discovered that cancer cells had also moved next to my chest wall. A lumpectomy would not have disclosed that and given me a false hope. The author suggests that survivors be not afraid to bare their chest (pun intended) to other women that may want to know what it looks like after surgery, to help take some of the apprehension and fear away.

An excellent book that is very well written and hard to put down ... this book is a must read for everyone! I bought a copy for myself, other family members and now a co-worker who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

This book was fantastic! This inspirational story really grabs at the reader's heartstrings, and I couldn't put it down. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, especially someone who has had cancer or a family member of a person who has had cancer. My mother had cancer and this story really gave me a window into the world that she was in during her struggle. Breastless but Still Breathing is a fairly easy read and I really enjoyed the way it was written. Even when it was grim, Anita offered a fresh and uplifting take on the situation. This book is filled with the story of the struggle that cancer presents, but also allows readers to take a break in its humor. The story tells the patient's side of the story, and is a must-read for anyone.

Just wanted to tell you that I got Anita's book in the mail today & I'm almost finished with it. I can't put it down! I am so proud of her! I'm going to give it to my Mom to read....

Anita,

Congratulations on your book Breastless Still Breathing! I certainly enjoyed reading it and commend you for having the courage and perseverance to write this emotional and realistic book. Your personality and family relationships came through vividly throughout your story. Your honesty about your emotions as well as your medical explanations of your diagnosis and follow-up procedures were very clear to understand.

I have been telling many people about your book and have especially recommended it to other breast cancer survivors. I know your story will help them to understand their own situations. My best wishes to you and your family as you continue to have good health!
