Download Gepard: The history of German anti-aircraft tanks eBook
by Walter J Spielberger
The main subject is the Gepard, an anti aircraft tank based on the German Leopard. The surprise for me was that ½ of the book traces the history of the self propelled Anti Aircraft vehicles from 1870 to 1982.
The main subject is the Gepard, an anti aircraft tank based on the German Leopard. Armed with 35mm auto cannons and modern radar, this AAA tank was far superior to the Soviet 23x4mm AAA vehicle. Production began in 1973, 420 hulls were built. Upgraded variants are in service today. All of the WW2 vehicles, including the Kugelbliz are covered. The WW2 photos are all in B&W as are most of the pictures, but all of good quality.
