This is a really helpful book. There are newer, more detailed books out there w/ lots of project in them. This book explains with pictures exactly how to make the project and grasp the concept of the shape or effect you're making. It makes intricate looking canes doable.
Highly recommended for the clay beginner or if you're just not quite sure how a shape or cane was made. This should help.

The book is great very informattive and easy to follow. I have always wanted to master the art of Millefiore!

This is a must-have book for both beginning and experienced polymer clay crafters. Clay basics are clearly spelled out, followed by various cane techniques. The third part of this book contains projects you can make using the cane techniques, or you can develop your own ideas. The illustrations are very clear and the directions can be followed by any reader! I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in polymer clay.
Even if you have never done a millefiore cane before you will be impressing your friends and family in no time!

This book is EXACTLY what I've been looking for, to help me with my polymer clay skills. The steps for each project are beautifully photographed, and with the author's clear directions, I was able to make a jewelry pendant that looks amazing! I think this book will be attractive to both beginners and more advanced "polyholics" and the price is more than reasonable. Kudos to Anne Igou for producing such a book. I can't wait for the next one!

This was the most facinating class and book. It has superior color and instruction. Beautiful designs. The finished product looks like it does in the book. The tools are simple but the end product is perfection.

I've made canes in a couple of classes, but when I get home I always have trouble remembering the exact process. Anne Igou's book is so clearly written and beautifully illustrated, that I now have a wonderful guide to help me put into practice what I've begun to learn. I really feel I can make these great canes without a live instructor by my side, and I'll be able to choose my own time and go at my own speed. Thanks, Anne!

I have made several canes from this book, the instructions make it so simple I can't believe it. There is great inspiration, good photos and easy to follow instructions. If you are thinking of dabbling in polymer, this is a great place to start, as well as is a great reference book with several different styles of canes.
This is an awesome book that even my daughter (she's a crafty 8 year old) could follow! She and I can highly recommend this and I am planning on using her instruction and techniques for my Brownies one day! As Anne lives in our area I am hoping to convince her to be the guest instructor for my Girl Scout Troop. 16 Crafty Scouts, 16 beautiful cane possibilities!
