These are refreshing whimsical quilts to make for Christmas. Some are simple, some are complicated. It is regrettable Amazon does not show the patterns. There is a bed quilt that will take a little time to make, a table runner using the classic log cabin pattern, wall quilt of santa saying ho ho ho, other wall quilts, and several pillows. I enjoyed this book.

The projects in this book are just as the title says--whimsical. They are adorable and fun and, with just some patience, anyone can make any of them. That said, you have to enjoy applique or this book is not for you. You can do it anyway you wish and the results will make you smile. A good book for someone who likes applique and wants to smile while they work.

I've made a couple Patrick Lose design quilts before so I'm not a novice with his quilt patterns. Although the designs in this particular book are fabulous, the instructions are incomplete and lacking. The Santa's Pet pattern is missing pieces and requires a copy machine, a light table or a lot of time standing at a window trying to copy reversed pattern pieces (which are not explained in the instructions.) Unless you want a challenge riddled with frustration skip this quilt book.

This is my second Patrick Lose book. I got this one for the Santa on the cover. He has such a delightful imagination and fun projects. I am looking forward to my 3rd book, coming soon I hope

It/s excellent. I first saw Patrick Lose on the Fonz and Porter quilting program on TV.

Love this book. Of course, I am a Patrick Lose fan. He is very creative and uses wonderful color on his demos. I love Christmas, and I have found several items to make using his patterns.

You just can't "lose" with Patrick Lose. His ideas and whimsy are always top-notch and I love his variety of colors and items. I hope to accomplish some of the projects in time for Christmas. Highly recommend if you love Patrick's books.
Like Patrick Lose! Some of his stuff is a bit too modern for me but do love his patterns. I change them to be a bit more country but his stuff is lots of fun!
