Waterloo International station was the London terminus of the Eurostar international rail service from its opening on 14 November 1994 until it closed on 13 November 2007 when it was replaced by St Pancras as the terminal for international rail services. It stands on the western side of Waterloo railway station, but was managed and branded separately from the main-line station.

Waterloo International Terminal, the new "gateway to Europe", was designed by Nicholas Grimshaw as a simple and functional hangar, comprising five platforms and acting as the terminal for high-speed Eurostar trains. The space is crowned with a glass canopy, the panels of which fold into each other, like the bellows of an accordion. In autumn 2007, Eurostar relocated from Waterloo to another terminus: St Pancras station in north London.
