Ed. Günther Holler-Schuster für die Gesellschaft der Freunde der Neuen Galerie Graz, text(s) by Gary Indiana, Mike Kelley, Edwin Pouncey, Ralph Rugoff, preface by Günther Holler-Schuster. More radical than most artists of his generation, Cameron Jamie ( 1969 in Los Angeles) tracks down extreme phenomena in society and presents them to us in a mirror: In his film Spook House he explores a suburb community of Detroit, Michigan, reveling in the macabre at Halloween, transforming front lawns into cemeteries and kitchens into mausoleums.

Gary Indiana (born 1950 as Gary Hoisington in Derry, New Hampshire) is an American writer, actor, artist, and cultural critic. He served as the art critic for the Village Voice weekly newspaper from 1985 to 1988. Indiana has written, directed and acted in a dozen plays, mostly during the early 1980s.
Cameron Jamie's calling is tracking down extreme social phenomena and presenting them in short documentary films. His best known film, "BB," documents "backyard wrestling" among working-class kids in his native San Fernando Valley. In "Spook Houses," he explores a suburban Chicago community that takes a little too much pleasure in the macabre at Halloween, transforming front lawns into cemeteries and kitchens into mausoleums.
