Diana Dempsey traded in an Emmy-winning career in TV news to write fast, fun romantic fiction. Have read Falling Star, To Catch The Moon, and Too Close to the Sun. About to start Chasing Venus. Would highly recommend all of these books. I am now an avid reader of Diana Dempsey's books. I enjoyed all the storylines and characters.

Winemaker Gabby DeLuca is back in gorgeous Napa Valley, nursing a broken heart and doing her best to create wonderful vintages she can be proud of. Then hotshot financier Will Henley appears on the scene, prowling for an acquisition. Will could be big trouble - for Gabby’s heart as well as her winery. Or his ingenious proposition might just prove to be the best deal of both their lives.

Born and raised in California's lush Napa Valley, Gabby DeLuca is intent on rescuing her family's winemaking reputation from the risky business decisions of the vineyard's rightful heir. Then a new distraction named Will Henley appears on the scene. With his good looks and Ivy League pedigree, he's on the prowl for his next acquisition. It's sexy and fun, with unique well-drawn characters who stick with you long after you've turned the last page.

While trying to restore her family's reputation for winemaking, Gabby DeLuca, a winemaker for Suncrest Vineyards in Napa Valley, is distracted by the arrival of sexy financier Will Henley, who, determined to acquire Suncrest, just might be her, and her family's, salvation. Original.

This is the 4th Diana Dempsey Kindle book I've read back-to-back. They were all unique & interesting stories with real characters. I've purchased 2 more by this author but have been too busy to read them. I am saving them for this weekend. I love discovering a new-to-me author who doesn't disappoint. I love being able to read Kindle books on my Kindle, iPhone, iPad, computer, whichever I have handy at the time. Please write faster, Diana Dempsey!

When picking up Too Close to the Sun, I expected the same fast fun pacing as Diana's other works, but Too Close to the Sun is dramtically different. In this book, without given away all the details, you will experience a very deep connection and a bunch of complicated emotions stowed away in the heart of Napa Valley. After reading what experiences that the main characters go through in the story, you can clearly see that Ms. Dempsey not only can write a fun sexy story but a deep, intricate complicated emotional story as well. This story is much more a traditional romance novel than either Falling Star or To Catch the Moon. I have to admit that romance lit is not my favorite genre but I did receive some sense of satisfaction behind the story of Gabby DeLuca and Will Henley. There will be raw emotion, uncertainty and mixed emotions as you read the story. I feel that the story delves deep into the many complications and ironies that people experience over hurt feelings and damaged relationships. However, one will still enjoy some light comedic parts of the story and Max does allow for some spontaneous intentional and unintentional funny moments.

I am so glad I decided to read Diana's novels and I have finished all of them and look forward to her future works. In the end, the book is a beautiful story and you will probably stay up all night to finish it like I did. Get the book, you won't be dissappointed.

Needed much more conversation written up in it to get to know the characters rather than describing them. I think the describing of their actions rather than having more conversations written between the characters tended to make it more predictable and left less up to the reader to decide. That being said, she is a great writer who can weave a beautiful tale.
