Imagine a couple of skeletons in the missionary position, the woman's leg over the man;s torso, one with a gunshot to the head and the other strangled and your story is off and running. Then there's the old mansion with a turret and then a security man to feel sorry for when he finds the bodies on his time. As is usual with Kellerman, once you drift off the first chapter you are on to meeting a variety of characters and scenarios that leave you wondering, "Hey....What about those two skeletons in the turret? Funny how it all turns into an international tale of intrigue, fire setting and more bodies. Sometimes it seems that poor Milo is wondering how in the world he got into this mess. Anyway, as usual, it's a good read. Just keep a chart of the characters when you meet them and you shouldn't have any problem. Thankfully Kellerman let's this tale wind down slowly so you can know what happened to everybody rather than the abrupt endings he has in some books.

I've read quite a few of Kellerman's books now, and I 've really enjoyed most of them. This one is nothing but a stunningly simplistic, heavy-handed assault on environmental concerns. I'm a detective fiction fan, even though too many of the writers fall into the dingbat libertarian classification, but this book is simply nauseating. Add to that a ridiculous plot, over-complicated and positively filled with the kind of coincidences Milo Sturgis rightly condemns in his interrogation of Kathy late in the book! Dr. Delaware would surely shudder at this lack of insight!

Evidence is not bad, it's not brilliant, but it will keep you entertained if you are looking for a quick read over a weekend. I've been a Jonathan Kellerman fan for many years, I used to like his writing style and his psychologist insights into the characters. There's not really much of that any more. This is a crime novel rather than a psychological thriller. Alex Delaware plays virtually no part in the novel and that is sad because I really enjoyed his insights and following his relationship with Robin. That all seems to have been discarded. I did enjoy Milo's interrogation of the suspect. But let's face it. Milo isn't as interesting a character as Dr Alex Delaware. There were enough twists and turns to keep you interested, but this is nothing like the page-turners Jonathan Kellerman used to write in his heyday.

I have been a fan of Mr. Kellerman for many years but he had fallen out of my realm of reading for the past 2 years or so. I saw this book and ordered anticipating another mystery with lots of involvement with Robin and the dog and Milo etc. What I got was a really slow paced book about Milo and everyone in the book moved in slow motion. There were many facets to this story, none of them were really well developed and none of them came to a successful heart stopping conclusion, which I am used to receiving from Jonathan Kellerman. I worried that it might be me but I have read several other books this week that got my pulse pounding and kept me awake finishing them up. Sorry Mr. Kellerman but anyone is allowed to be off his game a time or two.

Great book. Jonathan Kellerman always keeps me on my feet when I read his books. His main characters, Alex and Milo, are vividly described, so that I feel I know them. I worry about their safety, and their love lives! The book keeps me on edge every minute. I find myself reading the book in the bathtub, in the car, and any other odd place I can squeeze in a few more pages! Yes, the book describes brutal murders, but the suspects and witnesses we are introduced to, the interesting lives these people lead, the descriptions of the places they go, all come together to create a great story. Even the food that Alex and Milo eat, and the restaurants they go to are wonderful.

I love this series by Jonathan Kellerman. Most of the time I can figure things out before the end but this time he got me. Love the characters and the descriptive text is very entertaining.
