Increasingly, Todd Boss has been attracting attention, with poems in the Paris Review and The New Yorker and a series in Poetry. Love and wonder mingle in these lines.

I loved the poems in this collection! It is obvious that Todd Boss was raised on a farm. His beautiful, thoughtful and often tear-jerking way of writing caught me off guard. I reluctantly read this for my book club. As it turns out, I loved it so much I bought three copies to give for Christmas presents!

Todd Boss has a way with words. Some of these poems beg to be read out loud so you can hear the way they sound as well as feel the meaning. Like other reviewers have mentioned, not every poem works, but those that do are well worth the purchase. Anyone who has any attachment to the Midwest will have places in their heart touched by this volume.

I'm a big fan of skinny poems, and Todd Boss writes them exceedingly well. I love the content of these poems, the pace, the line breaks, and the unexpected end revelations. A must read.

This is a wonderful collection of contemporary poetry. If you haven't picked up a book of poems for awhile, choose this one! Todd Boss has a wonderful voice and style that would draw in any reader.

Todd Boss has put together a collection of poems that are wonderuful. I keep going back to them.
His view of rural life in WI as well as love and the trying times in his life are so elegantly examined.
"Enough" is so short and sweet, it says it all.
  • Elastic Skunk
You don't come across many poets who can constantly surprise you, but Boss does just that. He can turn a phrase so quickly and smoothly, and evoke a wide range of emotions. That's very refreshing in a poet. Definitely recommend checking him out.
