Book in Jennifer Estep's Bigtime series (I'm hoping there will be more). Jinx is the story of Bella Bulluci (who is mentioned in both books previous to this one). Bella can't stand superheroes and ubervillains. She wants nothing to do with them. This proves to be a bit difficult for her since her own brother is Johnny Angel (as were her father & grandfather before him), not to mention Bella has a power of her own. Only to her, its not a power, its a curse. Its nothing more than a jinx.

I would have helped if I hadn’t been afraid of dropping the sapphire into the middle of Bigtime Bay-and following it a second later when Hangman realized what I’d done. Finally, Prism clipped the side of Joanne’s temple with the laserama, and she went limp and still. What did you do to her?

Love Big-time stories & wish she was gonna write more. My only problem with Jennifer Estep is I "Hate" stories written in 1st person.

This is another good book in the series. I liked Bella although she did worry a little too much toward the end.

These books are light, fun and easy reads. I really just think of them as long comic books. They are silly and allow me to turn off my brain and just enjoy. A little drama is in there, but I can't take it too seriously when dealing with superheroes and uber-villains on every page. And while some of the characters have traits that annoy, they're not enough to turn me off the series.

Wild Cards has a better back story, and less sex, but I find Bigtime to be a lot of fun. I wonder which superhero will be next to find love?

The writing was the same, the world and all the fun supervillain stuff, but it lacked something. I didn't find the superhero vs his alter ego believable. Nor did I like the fact she only felt a connection to his regular ego once she made the superhero connection. But if there's a fourth I will check it out.

I enjoyed this series of books. Easy reading and fun.
Being a huge clutz I just loved this one. A heroine I can relate to and a love interest anyone would love to have.
