Hey, replied Chase, surprised. Yeah, it has, man. It’s actually really good to hear your voice. Wills trailed off. For two decades, thirty-nine-year-old Eden Clyde has been enjoying wealth and glamour as the muse and lover of Otto Clyde, the ultrafamous, and much older, king of the art world. Genetically, she hit the lottery, but Eden is unlucky in love: Eighteen years ago she put aside her dream of true love and marriage, and has turned a blind eye to Otto’s philandering in exchange for a life without want. In her younger days this seemed like a fair bargain, but as forty looms overhead ― and as the beauty for which she’s known begins to fade ― she feels the cost of the arrangement finally taking its toll on her happiness. Eden leaves their cozy downtown loft for New York’s frostier Upper East Side, where she begins to search for the girl and the life she left so many years ago. With encouragement from a raucous but lovable group of girlfriends, Eden soon finds herself embroiled in a heated love affair with Gotham’s most eligible bachelor: the much younger Chase Lydon. But just as their relationship is getting serious, an old flame resurfaces. Does Eden want the life she’s living ― and loving ― right now, or the love she left behind? On the brink of her fortieth birthday, it’s time for Eden to follow her heart, but this time not even Eden is sure where that will lead. . . . Poignant and laugh-out-loud funny, and written with heart and humor, Arm Candy shows that although sometimes forty may feel like the ultimate f word, it’s never too late to find true love.

I tried, I really tried. I enjoy Jill Kargman. Odd Mom Out ...enjoyable series. The Ex Mrs. Hedge Fund...very amusing beach read. Predictable, but good. Arm Candy , however, was mainly used by me as a sleeping pill. Turning forty , and I have, was for me, just hitting my stride. The protagonist , Eden , was a total pain. All I ever wanted to yell at her is "grow up and grow a pair". She is a self centered, narcissistic , intellectually stunted shell. An affair with a young, wealthy , uptight twenty something, formulaic and dumb. I wish I could say something really positive, but rarely do I dislike every character as I did in this book. Don't bother buying a copy...you can have mine...really. Good luck...I expected so much more...like some entertainment. We aren't tackling "War and Peace".

I enjoy all of Jill Kargman's books and this is one of the best, evoking heady times in Hedge Fund NYC...

I enjoy all of Jill Kargmans books. They always are humorous, and well written. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read books that are not too heavy but have a good story line and keep you turning the pages. The characters are likeable, and you enjoy routing for them. I'm looking forward to her next book as well.

This is quick chick lit. The story is really shallow, and there is no character development. The descriptions about the Upper East Side of New York are interesting, but the city is the most interesting character in the whole book. If you are looking for a very light fairy tale, this is your pick.

I enjoyed it because I love the author.

it was a quick read- couldn't put it down

Began with a good tempo with great characters but fizzled slowly into a bit of a soap opera plot. Silly ending and lots of fact checks ignored; disappointed as Momsillas was very funny
Tony up to her standards. Kind of cliche.
