I have had this book both in printed form, and now on my Kindle. I appreciate both formats; the Kindle makes it perfect for when I'm on the go. After all, not all medical issues happen while you have access to the printed copy. The Kindle version seems well-formatted, and I like the ease of use of the table of contents, etc. In either case, the content is the important thing, and I have always found it easy to navigate and search, easy to understand, and full of sensible advice. It has helped me know when I can save my money and time by treating myself or kids at home, and when I should surely go to the doctor. I find that the authors wrote in a reassuring manner, to convince the readers that they perhaps have the power to help themselves more often than they might think. I definitely would recommend this as a well-written basic resource for anyone.

Really helpful book. Very practical, no-nonsense information about when do you need to go see a doctor (or get to the hospital), and when and how you can just treat something at home. We've used it for colds, bee stings, removing a tick, and treating blisters.

I have the Kindle version of this book, and it is one item I always keep on the Device (rather than Cloud) on my iPhone Kindle app. That way it is always available when I travel. Although I've rarely had to use it, the descriptions of diagnoses and home treatments are clear and straightforward.

A little short on information, but the flow-chart format on what to do when you are troubled and confused is very reassuring.
