Famous for 15 Minutes drips with juicy details about celebrities and cultural figures in vignettes filled with surreptitious .

Famous for 15 Minutes drips with juicy details about celebrities and cultural figures in vignettes filled with surreptitious cocaine spoons, shameless sex, and insights into perhaps the most recognizable but least intimately known artist in the world. Beyond the legendary artist himself are the throngs of Factory regulars -Billy Name, Baby Jane Holzer, Brigid Polk-and the more transient celebrities who make appearances-Bob Dylan, Jane Fonda, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon. In this audacious tell-all memoir, Ultra Violet, born Isabelle Collin Dufresne, relives her years with Andy Warhol at the Factory and all of the madness that accompanied the sometimes-violent delivery of pop art.

Famous for 15 Minutes. My Years with Andy Warhol. The primary creation of Warhol was Andy Warhol himself. Throughout our years together, I was always asking Andy questions. He liked to be fed questions, although he did not always answer. When he did, his replies were usually brief, brusque, sometimes cryptic; rarely did he speak at length.

So very disappointing! A bizarre (not in a good way) ego trip about the authors struggles with family, country, & Church. She recounts numerous sexual encounters with celebrities. The relationship with Andy is tertiary. Feels like she is trying way to hard to be clever or memorable.
Would not recommend.

What a roller coaster ride through Warhollian society! Dizzying , humorous and tragic. I appreciated the style of writing and Ultra Violet's side Excursions into her own life and that of other's who were close to Warhol.

I can't decide who this book is supposed to be about - Ultra or Andy? If you like both then this may be the book for you. Although interesting, the storytelling is scattered and self serving. I wouldn't -not- recommend it, but I'm sure there are better reads on Warhol out there.

One of Andy Warhol's camp followers tells (almost) all about the Factory.

A rare insight into the 60s world from a unique person. She was close to the action yet was able to watch and be part of it all without being on drugs.

I loved Ultras writing style. I bought the book because of the Warhol Museum's directon listed it as one of the books to get.Since the Museum is located here in Pittsburgh I've become more of a fan.
Warhol was one strange dude.

Outstanding!
Haven't finished it yet but it is interesting and Ultra is charming. I'm not sure if it takes me back to an era I'd like to remember - or forget!
