In the telling of his story, he recounts signs and wonders enough to fill the book of Acts. In one episode, Angus tells of the dramatic resuscitation of a woman struck by lightning, who had been given up for dead. His abrupt conversion startled the friends of this explosive, hard-drinking man. Angus's bold faith has carried him through droughts, family tragedies, and financial crisis. In obedience to God's call he started preaching, which led into a healing ministry. He has also set up an AIDS orphanage and a 500-seat auditorium on his land. Practical faith at work. Your faith will be stirred greatly when you read this book. Welcome to the interception between talking the talk and walking the work. As a student of the subject of faith, I found this book intriguing, informative and inspirational. I was blessed by it and strongly recommend the book to all who want to get out of their comfort zone and truly walk by faith. It is a remarkable story and not strange at all. God is alive and still answers prayer.

This is a wonderful inspirational book -- a true story -- that was made into an equally great movie. Faith caused a dramatic positive change in this man's life, and he then became an evangelist who shared the Good News. I recommend the book, as well as the movie. Readers and viewers will be uplifted.

Well this book was recommended to me by a friend, never heard of it, did not know there was even a movie. Then I found it on kindle and downloaded the book and started to read it in every spare moment. Even though I was working I managed to finish it completely in three days. For me it was very inspirational, to have complete faith in the lord, that we will be taken care of takes unimaginable strength. It is helping me in my own journey, I am still not completely there but true stories and accounts of struggles in the name of faith as they are recorded in this book really build you. A great book, highly recommended, very inspirational. If you are on your own journey this will definitely give you some tools to follow.

God answers prayer! That was the theme of Faith Like Potatoes. And Jesus Christ moves in the lives of men and women, boys and girl even today. He is the way, the truth and the life and he is all that to Angus Buchan and each one who would repent and believe in Him. The book itself is a little choppy and mainly a recount of some of the amazing answers to prayer. It does not flow very well as far as the writing goes, but the message is still great.
