An engineer so he could really get into it.

A good biography, but too many pages about Christ's Hospital, the English public school that Barnes Wallis attended from about 12-16 years of age. This is supposed to be a book about the man, not a history of the school he attended. Once that portion of the book is over, it settles into a good accounting of his life and projects. Sometimes, it seems there is narrative left out that connects one paragraph to another, and can be quite confusing, unless you intimately know the whole story to begin with.
