While I love veterinary memoirs, this book was about the strangest I've ever read. The vet liked to go barefoot.! All the TIME!!!!!!! Being a vet tech, this really made me sick, thinking of all the pathogens on floors. I realize the name of the book is The Barefoot Veterinarian, I just thought it was a one time deal. While it wasn't my favorite vet memoir it was okay. Oh, and then, how does a vet that went through school and performs surgery's faint when her blood is taken. No biggie, I know it happens to people. That was strange too.

Want a good laugh? Want a fun read? Are you interested in hearing some touching stories? This is the book for you. Dr. Bolderick tells the stories in such a way that you feel you are right there. I have taken my own dogs to her for some 15 years and she is such an incredible vet. She is expert at what she does. You'll always find her barefoot and she always gets on the ground with your animal and even lets them lick her face. It was truly a delight to read these stories. I hope there will be more books, because I am sure there are many more stories. This book makes a great gift!
