I disagree totally with the previous reviewer. Having lived in both northern WA & the Territory, I found Paul Tooheys brilliant characterization of the 'kulcha' of these two wastelands to be chillingly accurate.

The book makes the point - tangentially & certainly not 'preachilly' - that Murdoch was the perverse product of a degenerate 'kulcha' ... for most 'aussies' this is something which would simply not occur to them at all..

This book is BRILLIANT & a must-read for anyone curious about the 'real' Australia.

As one (of many) who have been seeking justice for Brad Murdoch over the last ten years or so, this work is such a collection of half truths and outright fabrications that I hope that it will be classified as what it is a work of FICTION. If you are silly enough to read this rubbish and believe what is written I have a very nice bridge spanning Sydney Harbour that I can let you have at a good price .
