Stuart Woods 1993 - Dead Eyes. CHAPTER 1. The first letter arrived on a Monday. Chris Callaway was annoyed when her secretary told her it had been in the mailbox. The tone was friendly, not too worshipful, not too familiar. Dear Ms. Callaway, Your work has given me such a lot of pleasure that I felt I had to write to you.

Stuart Woods (born January 9, 1938) is an American novelist. Stuart Woods was born in Manchester, Georgia and graduated in 1959 from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. After graduation he enrolled in the Air National Guard, spending two months in basic training before moving to New York, where he began a career in the advertising industry.

First there were roses and the notes in her mailbox signed simply, Admirer. With several successful mystery series going at once - the most popular featuring jet-setting cop-turned-lawyer Stone Barrington - Stuart Woods more than manages to keep focused on a bestselling streak that shows no signs of slowing down.

Actress Chris Callaway finds her life threatened by a stalker whose attack leaves her blind, and it is up to Beverly Hills police detective Jon Larsen and Danny Devere, a gay friend, to track the would-be killer.

Excellent Read!! I Love ALL of Stuart Woods' books and have everyone he writes, as well as continue to order them as he publishes.

Each book is a "page-turner" - can't put it down which is a testament to Mr. Woods narrative gifts. Love the way he shifts from character to character to keep the reader engaged!
In my opinion, Stuart Woods is a Master of the Quill. Can't wait for his next one!!!

I love the Stuart Woods Stone Barington novels and I like his other novels like this one. Great story line and good charachters but I'm still a little prejudiced by not having Stone and Dino and the rest of the cast in this book. Still I would recommend this to mystery lovers.

It is Woods unique way of writing that makes his novels so good. I think he needs to tone done the liberal rhetoric some, or he may lose readers. All in all though this is one of his better written books.

"Tis a good page turner. Mr. Woods is in good form, although it isn't as slick as his Stone Barrington series and the others related to that world. I will read anything by him and am never disappointed.
I love Stuart Woods....have read most of his books...Being a women.. I think most will understand... This shows the weakness and the resolve of a great woman. We can all take away something from this book.
