A method of selecting foreign stories for the American elementary schools: applied to the evaluation. Translating literature for children in general rests upon the concept of difference related to a multitude of aspects: the unique status of the discipline throughout time, the children’s special perception of the world as well as the double adaptation to the socio-cultural expectations prevailing in the target culture and to the future readers’ age and comprehension skills.

Fairy tales, folk tales, fables and short stories have always been used as a vehicle for developing understanding of centuries old wisdom of mankind, for entertaining and instructing the people because of their distinctive pattem and narrative elements.
The songs, stories and poems they made up had to be memorized and were handed down from generation to. .The poem is a true piece of English literature. The poem is composed with great skill. The author used many vivid 16 words and descriptive phrases.

2. Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl I love teaching this story for its surprise actions from a seemingly harmless protagonist. I start off with a PBL exercise written from the cop’s perspective, and students make inferences to decide how and why Mrs. Maloney killed her husband. Once students have solved the mystery, we read the full story. Then, students choose whether to write a closing argument as either Mrs. Maloney’s defense lawyer or as the prosecution.
