This is a beautiful book! Jennifer Jordan's Savage Summit, another great read, led me to it. Julie Tullis is a really remarkable woman! Really remarkable! It feels like she's still here. What a loss for the world and those who loved her, as many did. Her writing is excellent and I too couldn't put it down. She loved the natural beauty of the glacier and mountains and feeling alive in every way. I felt that I was there with her, experiencing everything. Her level of fitness was beyond belief, but she was a very humble person. I finally understand why people climb the high peaks. I loved this book and this woman!

This book is absolutley wonderful. It is the autobiography of a very ambitious mountainiering woman. I am not athletic at all but found inspiration here. She was a common person who achieved so much. She makes mountainiering sound so fun and easy. You will feel like you know her and are with her on her exciting travels. You will be happy and sad with her and you will feel like you've been away on a thrilling adventure. I couldn't put it down.
