The Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) is a provincial law in Ontario, Canada passed in 1993 to provide a bill of rights to Ontario residents for environmental matters.

The Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) is a provincial law in Ontario, Canada passed in 1993 to provide a bill of rights to Ontario residents for environmental matters. Significantly, it gives Ontario residents the right to participate in environmental decision-making. From 1993 to 2019 the provincial government's compliance with the EBR was monitored by the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, a non-partisan officer of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

A federal environmental bill of rights would support the right to a healthy environment for all Canadians .

A federal environmental bill of rights would support the right to a healthy environment for all Canadians, writes David Suzuki. Despite the fact that Canada is known for its spectacular natural wonders and passed the Bill of Rights in 1960 and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1982, many Canadians would be surprised to learn that the right to live in a healthy environment was never included in these laws. In an effort to remedy this omission, I set out with David Suzuki Foundation and Ecojustice staff and allies in 2014 for a cross-country tour.

The Constitutional Right to a Healthy Environment by David R. Boyd in July-August 2012 Environment magazine. 157 (talk) 06:53, 29 July 2012 (UTC). I made the following changes

The Canadian Bill of Rights (French: Déclaration canadienne des droits) is a federal statute and bill of rights enacted by the Parliament of Canada on August 10, 1960

The Canadian Bill of Rights (French: Déclaration canadienne des droits) is a federal statute and bill of rights enacted by the Parliament of Canada on August 10, 1960. It provides Canadians with certain rights at Canadian federal law in relation to other federal statutes. It was the earliest expression of human rights law at the federal level in Canada, though an implied Bill of Rights had already been recognized in the Canadian Common Law.

An Environmental Bill of Rights guarantees Canadians the right to a clean environment such as the right to clean .

An Environmental Bill of Rights guarantees Canadians the right to a clean environment such as the right to clean air and water. There are 110 countries that already have an Environmental Bill of Rights, but sadly Canada isn’t one of those countries. We need the Halton District School Board to sign our petition so Canada can have the right to a healthy environment and an Earth for our future generations. Ultimately, we seek to amend the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to include the right to a healthy environment. We need to start small, with your signature hopefully we could take this.

Public influence in law and policy-making. believe ACF should play a leading role in advocating constitutional reform at Commonwealth and state levels, including the development of an Environmental Bill of Rights.
