Henri Amouroux (1920-2007) est un journaliste et historien fançais, membre de l'Institut de France et ancien président du jury du Prix Albert-Londres. Il a réalisé de nombreux reportages et émissions pour France Inter et TF1, et a dirigé, entre mars 1968 et septembre 1982, les quotidiens Sud-Ouest, France-Soir et Rhône-Alpes. Aux Éditions Robert Laffont, il a notamment publié La Grande Histoire des Français sous l'Occupation (1976-1993, 10 volumes), Ce que vivent les roses (1983), Et ça leur faisait très mal ? (1983) et Monsieur Barre (1986).

Amouroux wrote several books on the German occupation of France during his life, especially a ten-volume La Grande Histoire des Français sous l'Occupation (The Full History of the French under the Occupation), published from 1976 to 1993. He later worked for several French newspaper (France Soir) radio (France Inter) and television (TF1) stations.
