Set in a time period when most people think the women were soft, fragile and stay at home wives and mothers, these stories will surprise all. Women and children attended their husbands/fathers on their ocean journeys, to regions few experienced, much less, women. Jim Coogan is an author and retired teacher who lives in the historic seaside town of Sandwich on Cape Cod. He grew up on the Cape, graduated from Boston College and served in the .
