I've had both Vol 1 and II for, shoot, more than 10 years, and at times, stopped studying them, even tho I practiced what I'd already read. We moved last year, and I finally realized Vol 1 was missing! So in quick order, I got it from Amazon. And once again I'm back at studying Vol 1, then Vol II again!

There is just a Ton of info in both Volumes you won't find elsewhere! I've read many martial arts books, and have studied the M.A. for over 2 decades. Internal Martial Arts are the top of the martial arts world, as without using your own internal power and energy, the external will just be physical exercise! Using your own chi and and personal energy makes your external that much stronger! There also came over and inside of me, eternal warmth, universal understanding,and personal confidence that I never knew before!

You really need both books, as they compliment each other, and both are filled with esoteric understanding, many exercises, meditations, bone squeezing, bone filling of chi, and so much info that 1 book couldn't hold!

Vol 1 is "Esoteric Fighting Techniques and Healing Methods", so you defend yourself and then help anyone injured, and of course, heal yourself if needed. It has fighting methods, theory, and Jerry also teaches the yin and yang importance in the I.M.A. You will use your chi intent to make you and your striking and kicking stronger; so he goes into a lot of physical internal activities, but always with your mind and intent leading it. Exercises and strikes such as Piercing palm, splitting palm, and iron palm.

He starts vibratioal training, and continues it in Vol II, a magnificent volume! He teaches you to draw chi into your bone marrow, and how to meld your 3 tan tiens, a great concept I've been using almost since day one of reading these books!

He teaches page after page of Death Touch Methods and theory, and how to attack one's Body Source Energy, the Body's Nutrient Energy, and the Body's Blood Energy. Then there's pages of healing ointments, plasters, bruise analgesic, burns, etc.

I've said it before, but these 2 books are essential for all I.M.A. practictioners, and some of this material are life changing information! After getting and studying for a while, I finally could feel and move my own chi!! They are worth what you have to pay!!!

This comes in two volumes so make sure which you are getting. Volume one is on striking and fighting points and volume two is on cultivation of chi . I suggest getting both if possible. Dr. / Sifu Johnson is a great writer. In these books he shares knowledge hard to find anywhere else. Most martial art teachers won't give this information out without you training with them for years and maybe not even then. The books are simple to read but go into great detail on internal martial arts training from both sides striking and healing. Also included are herbal remedies for healing when struck. There are many drawings to explain the text and charts with pressure points or striking points to be trained. These two books are real treasure if you need more understanding of your internal training. Greatly helped my understanding of my own training. Highly recommended!

Lots of training tips and tricks. Probably a book better suited for intermediate to advanced students or instructors. Not for beginners.

This is a 2 book master class in internal martial arts (IMA)! For those not in the know, not only can you bring power to your immune system and body, but it can help your external m.a. so much! I now know that with me, one can't exist without the other! Really studying and practicing these 2 books, I can finally feel my chi, and am moving it around inside (and somewhat outside) my body. You HAVE to get both books, as there's so much info: imagery with intent; meditation; moving meditations; vibrating strikes; discharging explosive power; energy bubble and water drop; iron shirt; and lots of unusual ingrediants lists; dim mak; and just SO much to learn and use!
I'm not just recommending these books, I'm telling you that this series may change your life, it is that deep and vital! It has truly opened up a new way of thinking for my life-long practice that I will continue and expand upon!

I took private lessons from Sifu Jerry for about 3 1/2 years. I found him to be very informative and extremely personable. It was during my training with him that he published these books, so of course I got the 2 volume set right away. They are worth their weight in gold, even at today's prices, but you MUST have a qualified instructor oversee your progress. This stuff is not to be trifled with. If your teacher is slow to inform you himself (errrm, or herself), just use these books to ask pointed questions, at a gentle rate! Internal martial arts instructors are pretty sensitive about what they know, and are willing to teach.
