Our life runs in mysterious ways - like a river. Sometimes it roars or bubbles and sometimes it seems to have no motion at all.

Select Format: Paperback. Our life runs in mysterious ways - like a river. But there is always motion.

This book is a depository, always evolving, it is as polymorphous as an alchemists tube-flask. I am sorry world, I will always let you down. The bunsen burner to this alchemical process is always life, the oxidase; imagination. The substance; feeling. Never will I quite do justice to the heights of wonder or the depths of despair that inhabit and fill up this globe. I can only do my best.

If it went backward, then backward would become the new forward. What if you accidentally set things into motion that resulted in you never being born? If you never existed, you never used the time machine, and never set up events that caused your non-existence. Now, a time machine would allow a few people to go back in time, but the time travellers would do so at everyone's expense, even at the expense of the time travellers themselves. What if you accidentally. If that never happened, then you would exist, enter the time machine and caused your non-existence. You just created a time paradox! One that could destroy all reality as we know it!

Once they start going forward, no matter what you do, they can't go back the way they were. Treat people the way you want to be treated. And if you’re not doing that and if society is not respecting that basic principle, then we’re going backwards instead of going forward.

Once they start going forward, no matter what you do, they can't go back the way they were. If even one little thing goes awry, then that's how it will stay forever. Help us translate this quote. And when you see astronauts from Japan or from the United States or from Russia or others working together, and they’re looking down at this planet from a distance you realize we’re all on this little rock in the middle of space and the differences that seem so important to us from a distance dissolve into nothing.

In this particular chapter he gently reminded you that even if you are going back you still need to be going forward. Through the steps he lined out it was easy to make a decision in regards to that particular situation. The book is split into two parts.

For some reason or another, one of the main characters is displaced from their home - be it in the sense of homeland, home planet, home universe, or literal house - and unable to return. Often, their attempts to return form a key plotline or focal point of the series, but since Status Quo Is God, Failure Is the Only Option until the Grand Finale. If the reason why they can't return is because of a Doomed Hometown, then their quest is often Revenge or a new place to stay.

1 decade ago. Well some ppl say once you have sex with a black person you never go back to the race you used to have sex with.

Once you go black, you never go black" is often referring to when you're dating someone that's black and you never go back to your race or ethnicity cuz you can't get enough of that jungle fever. I think Amy Winehouse is referring to "black" as in "the dark side" where she got into the world of drugs and drinking, but when she "comes back" means that she'll clean herself up and get her act together Others sa. .I personally dont know.

Our life runs in mysterious ways - like a river. Sometimes it roars or bubbles and sometimes it seems to have no motion at all. But there is always motion. There is always an undertow that most can somehow feel - even though there may be no indication other than some psychic understanding - some feeling that we’re cruising with the current down the stream of life like a stick, a raft, flotsam, on its way to the ocean.

Most of us do the best we can and make half-hearted attempts to control this motion of our lives, but every drop, every molecule of our being, ends up in that sea regardless of how we try to channel it. We feel the need to learn - to understand - how we fit into our own life experience and just how this life of ours moves on down the stream - in the hope that we can somehow steer, guide, control our path. This feeling, this desire to know our course, to see into the future and who we become, must be genetic.

Of course, we end our lives not having a clue about what really happened to us - or why. When we meet our end (quickly, prematurely, or, after a long and lingering illness, or, after a long and successful life) we have no idea how this particular finish could've been met. Without any understanding of the "why me?" Without our permission.

As we age we do learn that most things are entirely out of our control, and, regardless of our intentions, we are and have been pushed and pulled in many different directions. Many of us do our best to steer our lives as the current pushes us and pulls us onward toward the ocean of death and the hope of eternal life. Scary, huh?

I felt a need to reconnect with my own past - put some things into perspective and a High School Class Reunion formed in my mind as a platform. It’s a great time to check your memories against your true past and see how you have reinvented yourself over the years - how your remembrances have strayed from reality.

The first couple of these reunions, the early ones, are a time to make yourself look good. To be "up and coming" in the eyes of those people who knew you when you were being formed; to be in control of your course toward true success (whatever that means). The opportunity for lies and exaggerations abound as we all try to impress people who knew us "back when."

Of course, like Brick in "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof," some people never go anywhere, never leave the mind set of their youth, never go forward. Stuck in the headwaters of their lives. The highlight of their lives is behind them on the playing field or on the court, in the band room, the classroom, the Sloe Gin bottle or the back seat of a car. Even then the truth of their lives can be shaded and morphed into a reality that never really existed. They have no oar, no way to attempt to steer their life experience, no idea about the future that is happening to them each and every minute.

As we grow older, the later reunions, we reconnect with those former classmates in different ways (especially when you have had no regular contact with those people who were there when you started your voyage, when there was only one reality). The later reunions, the ones of the "older folks," are times when each person should attempt to come clean - even if it is just to themselves - or, they must continue the stories, the lies, the exaggerations made during their voyage, and try to keep their stories straight and fool everyone - especially themselves.

This story begins loosely based on characters I haven’t seen in many, many years and I have no idea of who they actually became, where they are, or even if they are still alive. Though the starting place for these souls is based on actual people, this is a work of fiction. Any similarities to any persons, now living or dead are purely coincidental. All events portrayed here have no basis in reality and, if for any reason a person reading this - someone who was actually in my past - takes offense on who I felt they may ha
