The descriptions are provided for two new species of the genus n inhabiting the bathyal zone, D. marinaesp. from the continental slope of Patagonia, and D. ludmilaefrom the Drake Passage. The Munnopsididae were the most dominant isopod family, with 61% of the specimens, 118 species divided among 28 genera; the Haploniscidae comprised 15% of all isopods with 36 species from four genera, followed by the Ischnomesidae with 7% and 30 species from five genera.
