Emery's elements is a lovely book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's very versatile, because it's suitable for students in various phases of their education. It's excellent for undergrads who are attending their first molecular genetics course; grad students will find the book useful for brushing up on the basics (and beyond) of genetics. That's why the book is cleverly divided into three parts.

Emery's Elements of Medical Genetics has been a best seller for over 30 years. and clinical genetics. Tap into the latest developments with new chapters on ophthalmic genetics, skeletal dysplasias, stem cell therapy, and genetics and the law.

I bought this book so I could learn more about genetic disorders just for my curiosity and was not dissapointed. It gives diagrams of where disorders are on the chromosome and the characteristics of the disease.

Good book. Clear and concise. I wish that there were more questions available online(there were only 150 questions). Otherwise, really really awesome text! Easy reading.

Very relevant for USMLE, especially the clinical sections in the last 3rd of the book.

This book contains priciples of human genetics, genetics in medicine and clinical genetics. It is very concise and easy to understanding. it covers majority of concepts in the human genetic. It is suitable for students, laboratory staff and genetic clinicians.

Great

While it does offer a lot of information about medical genetics, the written language is overly complicated and does little to introduce medical students to new subjects.

I bought this book as a requirement for a graduate level genetics class. Genetics is a new topic to me so everything besides a Punnet square is foreign to me. This book is not meant for a reader with limited experience in Genetics. For example the authors bold print key words in the text yet fail to define these words in the text or at the end of the chapter. Most times the bolded words are not even in the "glossary" at the end of the book. There are good photos of the people with the genetic diseases which I find helpful as a student studying to become a Nurse Practitioner. Overall,I feel this book is not written for the beginner to genetics... it's just to complicated and not user friendly.

I purchased this textbook for school and realized that unfortunately it does not show the actual (as in from the print book) page numbers. So when my professor assigns readings from page XX-XX, I am unable to locate the actual "pages" and I will not be able to cite quotes correctly either. I have searched the Amazon site looking for a way to see the real page numbers, but no luck. Disappointed.
the book arrived quickly, was in very good condition. will definately purchase from this buyer in future.
