I love this book! It's the first PMH Atwater book I've read. It has aspects of NDEs in it that I haven't found in other books. I may come back and write more when I have time, but meanwhile I just wanted to give it a good rating as a recommendation that if you are into investigating all the viewpoints and discoveries that researchers have made since Raymond Moody's seminal book, this book and this author should be on your list. She also had her own NDEs.

This book is absolutely great at shedding light into this phenomenon.

Perfectly written -- it is thorough and professional and extremely fair and honest - Not super biased.

The author interviews many many kids that went through these experiences in an EXTREMELLY PROFESSIONAL WAY. She keeps the ones with excellent evidence and discarded the ones that she saw were ficticious - like for example the parents pushing the kid to on what to say or to say something they want for their religion/dogma beliefs.

So this book is excellent.

Why are you still looking at this review.... Just get it right now.

God Bless :)

Concise, readable, fascinating account of Atwater's decades of new death research. Filled
with little know facts from her own stats. EG, out of 296 near death experiencing kids that
she interviewed, ZERO wanted to return to life on earth. She also describes the problems
(such as depression) these kids have. More over, there is much discussion (and stats)
regarding the striking differences between adult v. child Near Deathers.

This is a "must read" for anyone whose: had an NDE, knows of someone whose had an NDE, &/or anyone whose children seem to be smart beyond their years, as well as those who are just plain interested in this phenomenon and what it might mean...I also think that this book is essential for teachers - as it outlines how children change, in regards to education, after a NDE - and how you, the teacher, can help them.

I fit into the category of "just REALLY interested in this subject", and I was so caught up in this book that I couldn't put it down!

I love how the author includes her research methodology at the end of the book, as well as a section on tips for the NDE'r and/or family members & teachers of the NDE'r in dealing with the after-effects of such a profound experience.

I highly recommend this book...very inspiring, as it clearly illustrates that when we die, it is only our bodies that die. Our souls will live on. No one needto fear "death"...it is simply a transition, like walking from one room into another. The children interviewed for this book explain it beautifully.

I have about 4 of this author's book on NDE's, and this one did not disappoint. She's very thorough and meticulous in her research.
Fascinating and well-researched.
