For example, whenever he had to go out of town on business, I would keep an eye on his kids for him. I love Rosanne Bittner as she injects real history into her Novels. We as RV'ers passed near the place in Colorado where the Sand Creek Massacre occurred.
The Cheyenne and Arapaho people were the victims of the massacre This was done by horrible white men. I do not remember which of her novels this was in.

Love most all of Rosanne Bittner's books. One can count on all her books being similar in story line, strong heroine woman, sexy rebel type man, and much misunderstanding of their love for one another. Add a few other characters and let the story run. However, with that description I still enjoy her books as "fun" reading. She sprinkles in a little history along the way which is always entertaining. Expect many terrible things to happen in these stories but it always works out in the end.

I give this book 5 stars it is so powerfully written and researched you actually believe the characters and story is true. The proud black hawk and the loving gentle Miss Gibons brought together by mutual visions an a deep love for the Souix people are the main characters in a love story so beautiful it will bring you to tears when you read all the things they go through and have to face to make their dream of a life together a reality. Ms. BITTNER is a master story teller and this is a true masterpiece.
