But Alexander is like no man she’s known before, a man more interested in courting her smile than her obedience, a man who values her counsel as much as her newly awakened passion…and a man unaware that Eleanor is the key to a fortune that could ensure the future of everything he holds dear. Now, ruthless enemies will stop at nothing to secure Eleanor’s capture. Will she dare to trust her new husband before it’s too late for her, for Alexander, and for Kinfairlie?

I did not care for this book very much because everything was dictated by the heroines lies. The hero was busy lying himself so somehow they were supposedly able to get past all the lies and fall in love. Very predictable and not something I would want to read again.

I have read three books in this series. It was hard to put the books down until I reached the end. Alexander is the new Laird and has a great responsibility to oversee Kinfaierlie, their home. And not only that he has two brothers and six sisters. He needs to find marriages for each sister and find places for his brothers. There isn't much money to do everything and Alexander is worried. The first book was about Madeline. Alexander comes up with the crazy scheme to auction her off. And that takes a merry run through the country side. Alexander changes his mind and Madeline betrothed shows up from the dead. It is quite the tale. The second book is about Vevienne. She believes a tale that Alexander tells and she ends up being kidnapped. Alexander is furious about this as he had an agreement with the gentleman to wed his sister. So, off we go on a merry chase again. The third book is the story of Alexander's love. Eleanor is her name and she lives a sad, lonely, abused life. She is twice widowed and doesn't believe in love. But of course she finds a loving man in Alexander. He was kind and loving to her. Each book had a share of the swashbuckling action that we all love. There are several more books in this series. I purchased another of the books. I usually don't like to get involved in a series but I enjoyed these so much, I just had to continue. Thanks to the author.

The Snow White Bride is the third in Ms. Delacroix’s Jewels of Kinfairlie series and the second time I have read it as a Kindle version. (I believe my version may be older since I purchased it in 2013.) This is the story of the oldest Lammergeier sibling and the Laird of Kinfairlie, Alexander. Alexander has married off two of his sisters by underhanded means. The sisters have returned to Kinfairlie with their husbands for the Christmas holidays and feel it is only fair they give Alexander a taste of his own medicine. It doesn’t matter that both sisters are happy in their respective marriages; they just feel it is time for Alexander to wed.
Enter Lady Eleanor. Lady Eleanor is running from her past and fears to trust any man, especially Alexander, with the things she endured during her previous marriages. Alexander relays his beliefs in marriage as “Love and honesty and truth and justice were what I was raised to expect and expect them I do.” This is a lovely story of how one spouse can give and earn trust from another spouse to benefit the entire holding.

This is the third book in the series and can be read without having read the previous two although it does help with understanding the dynamics of the siblings. This book starts with Alexander and Eleanor getting married under unusual circumstances. They are such that you just know they will backfire at some point. But as with her other books she weaves many people and complications into the story. You may solve part of the mystery from the beginning but you will only get all the answers at the end. I think you would lose interest if you were able to solve it all. A good story has you guessing throughout as it how it will all end. I highly recommend it

Andrew did a lot to deserve his sisters wanting to force him into a marriage. He has already seen two of his sisters wed against their own judgement and although both ended up in a love match, they still haven't forgotten why they were married, or how. When Eleanor seeks refuge in the church and is discovered by the sisters they decide that they will trick Alexander into marrying her. She doesn't approve at first and then after spending a night in his company and seeing that he is indeed not like her two former husbands (she is twice widowed) she decides to marry him.

Now I will say that I don't like how they tricked him, I think it was a most naive thing to do. That being said though, the book was still very enjoyable. I love how they came together and how he shows her that not every man is a jerk. What she does out of her love for him and then what he does in return for her makes this truly an amazing love story. Enjoy.

And for anyone wondering about the other sisters, there is another series starting with "The Renegade's Heart" that is telling their stories. In case you weren't ready to leave them behind just yet!

Alexander is a brother to 3 unmarried sisters, he is trying to get them married, The sisters are not happy with his trying to marry them off. They find Eleanor, who is running away, from her brother-in-law, who wants to marry her off. She wants no part of it so she runs away. The sisters come across Eleanor, they like her at once, and decide she would make a great bride for Alexander. So they help Eleanor, which inturn helps their brother. It is a very cute story, with good family ties to the other bride stories. The families are intermingled within the stories of all the brides books. The books all blend very well with each other, and makes a wonderful series of books. The book is very good, as all Delacroix books are. You can't go wrong with one of her books. I highly recommend her books.

If you liked fairytales as a child, you might enjoy this one as I did. It is a read to help you forget about the problems of our world today, and just let yourself be swept away by a story for once, with no responsibilities, just the easy shudder of tribulations that will surely be solved before the book ends. I thank the author for granting me a little peace.
This book was paced just right. We or the characters are constantly learning something new. There is action, adventure, a woman who has been through so much heartache, and a wonderful man who sees her true worth.
