When he opened the screen door to the kitchen, he was startled to see her standing by the sink, washing dishes anced on a pair of old crutches, her long legs bare and tanned beneath an indecently skimpy pair of white shorts. Her yellow cotton shirt was fitted, showing every delectable curve even more than the T- shirts she slept in. He stopped dead, staring at her. She turned and smiled at him. Her eyes were bright and sparkling, her dark hair tied back in a thick ponytail

Very good story and quick to read. Great characters. Great storyline..very good ending..Trace (sexy cowboy) and Kalli challenge one another from the start but the sexual tension is there. You don't have to wait until the end of the book before they act on it. Well written intimacy scenes. Little suspense with a few things that happen to Kalli. Kalli inherits a ranch in Wyoming from her uncle and is determined to stay and learn all she can. Trace has other ideas. Very good ending.

It is unfortunate this book has very, very bad editing. I had the impression that this might have been a "rough draft" instead of the "final copy". It's sad an author writes a good story to have it ruined by poor editing. If you can get around the bad editing, this is truly a good story. I highly recommend it.

This was the second book in the series that I've read. It was a good read, just not as good as the first. There were several typographical errors, but I think that is to be expected in the ebook format. I had read about that prior to purchasing the book and personally feel some folks are a little too critical. It wasn't a major purchase so relax and enjoy the story. Liked the ending better than I had anticipated.

I read the kindle edition of this book & it was a hot mess! I feel bad giving the author such a low rating because I liked the storyline, but the lack of proper editing was so distracting that I can't rate it higher. The author needs to find a new editor! Not only were there multiple typos, but the wrong words were used constantly. For example, whenever you read the word fed, the author intended it to be the word feel. Than was constantly substituted for the word them. It was very distracting & took away from the natural flow and overall enjoyment of the story. I continuously found myself rereading sentences & passages to find the intended meaning because of misused words.

It is hard to read an eBook that is so poorly edited. There are obvious copy errors on almost every page. I wouldn't lay this on the author but on the person supervising the eBook production. Some of the errors are similar to optical character recognition errors where an m is confused with an rn. The most peculiar error occurs because of a search-and-replace error. One character must have originally been named Tim. When that name was replaced by Josh, other words that contained the letters tim in the middle were corrupted.

The story itself was pretty decent...but Oh MY.....the editing was HORRENDOUS!!!! Part of the way through the book, the word "time" was capitalized everytime it appeared. Then there were words missing, cut and paste errors, and words in sentences that didn't even make sense. Ms McMahon...I sincerely hope that you take your editor to task on this one, because they did you NO favors!!! I almost gave up part of the way through, but wanted to see how the story ended...as painful as it was.

This must have been a rush job which was never checked when it was typed the first time. I had so much trouble reading it. The poor English, the misspelling, the substitution of the letters hu for the word her made it extremely hard to read. It is a reasonable story, but using gratuitous sex to fill pages and fluff a novella up to a full sized book leaves a lot of pages that I for one keep by-passing until I get back to the story.

Good writers should have more pride in the finished product! The job of editing was horrific. Hope to see a better job in the future.
A wonderful love story about a cowboy and a nurse turned rancher with a lot to learn about running a ranch she inherited. A great way to spend a quiet Saturday afternoon.
