It's really hard to believe that Anne Hampson is the author of this book - the H is a very decent guy, and extremely tolerant of the h's idiotic lies and deception.
It's really hard to believe that Anne Hampson is the author of this book - the H is a very decent guy, and extremely tolerant of the h's idiotic lies and deception. Originally they made sense but she disregarded the clear signs that she could tell him the truth for most of the book. The h was good-hearted, but possibly the least intelligent of the Hampson heroines, and that's saying something since most of these women are almost inarticulate.

Anne Hampson (born 28 November ?) was a British writer of over 125 romance novels in Mills & Boon from 1969 to 1998. She published historical romance novels under the pseudonym Jane Wilby. Although she retired in 1998, in 2005 she published two romance and a crime novel. She has written an autobiography entitled Fate Was My Friend.
Anne Hampson was born on November 28 in England. At age six she had two ambitions: to teach and to write. From the first book, came over 125 more written for Mills & Boon, Harlequin and Silhouette. Poverty after WWI deprived her of an education and at 14 she was making Marks & Spencer's blouses at one shilling (5p) each. She retired when she married. Later, when her marriage broke up, she was homeless with £40 in her purse. Alan Boon (the Boon of Mills & Boon) and she came up with the title for 'Harlequin Presents' over lunch at the Ritz.

Laurie Ann Thompson is an American writer. She is known for her children's books and books for young adults. Thompson is a winner of one of the 2016 Schneider Family Book Awards for her book, Emmanuel's Dream: The True Story of Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah, which was illustrated by Sean Qualls. The Washington Post highlighted Thompson's book, Be A Changemaker: How to Start Something That Matters (2014) as a good book to help raise activist children.
