The 1998 edition is great. While we should think that there is one human family so everyone delivers the best and uniform care to everyone, certainly physician diversity, pink scrub culture, and academic faculty diversity causes large differences in disease incidence and prevalence such as diabetes, cirrhosis, glaucoma, Cushing's, cancers, coronary disease, renal failure, meningitis, etc.

This book is essential to anyone taking Anatomy. It is very detailed and provides a lot of pictures. It is sometimes too detailed, which makes it difficult for the average student to understand. I recommend using it along with the anatomy coloring book. My only complaint is the price, why is it so expensive?
