Mind Probe-Hypnosis Paperback. but her greatest interest was in helping people to heal and not merely prescribe pharmaceuticals to mask the symptoms. It was this strong desire that lead her to study and utilize hypnosis. I strongly believe in the power of the mind and the possibilities for healing. It has given me a lot of hope and directed some of my use of hypnosis as well.

Mind Probe-Hypnosis was recommended by a master hypnotist I recently met. He is a student of Dr. Hickman's and relays the most fascinating story of their meeting. This book is one of the more interesting books out there on past life regression, and the possibilities of past life regression. The cases that Irene Hickman presents show how, in many cases, the effects of past lives affect what we are doing now and how we are doing it. She presents a balance case for believing in the authenticity of past lives, but strongly urges further scientific research to validate it. She discusses past lives in the context of principles that are taken for granted in the eastern traditions, but frowned upon here in the west. Read with an open mind, this book is mind altering and enlightening.

If you think you don't believe in past lives, you will after reading this! A fascinating read! Exploring past lives through hypnosis is so simple and has been proven to be very effective. I hope that hypnotherapy becomes the new way to heal trauma.

I enjoyed this book. It's a nice starting place for anyone interested in hypnosis and/or reincarnation, and in past life regression work in particular. Irene Hickman has a pleasant, easygoing style and shares many entertaining and informative transcripts of past life sessions where her clients' problems in this life needed to be healed in one or more past lives. The only downsides are there are a fair number of typos, and the way the chapters are ordered could have been better, a trait shared by Remote depossession, which is Irene Hickman's later self-published book on compassionate exorcism.

In the introduction Ms. Hickman stated that she was a D.O. but her greatest interest was in helping people to heal and not merely prescribe pharmaceuticals to mask the symptoms. It was this strong desire that lead her to study and utilize hypnosis. I strongly believe in the power of the mind and the possibilities for healing. It has given me a lot of hope and directed some of my use of hypnosis as well. I wish that I could have see Irene in action because she was a friend of my mother’s and came to the house several times when I was young. She has been the driving force along with the wonderful information within this book for my consulting hypnosis business in Virginia called Positive Perspective Hypnosis.

The first thing that distinguishes this book from other past-life regression methods is that the suggestion given to the individual was not to go and revisit past life, but rather simply to "go back to the origin of the problem".

The book begins with Irene Hickmans' assistant (a hypnotist) who couldn't accept the idea of past lives, giving suggestion to the client to go back to the origin of the problem, and the hypnotist becoming bewildered with the client finding herself in another lifetime.

The cases described in this book are both informative and utterly entertaining to read. It is the most wonderful book on past-life regression.
