This book has opened the door for me to create websites using the HTML language. I've tried other books, even the "for Dummies", and not one of them compares. I have found Mastering HTML and XHTML concise and easy to understand. This book gets you up and running with the basics of a website in just a few minutes of study. Another manual I'd purchased was loaded with so much technical gobble de goop after trying to wade through 100 pages it now resides in a landfill. Mastering HTML and XHTML had me putting my first web page together in short order and I actually felt like I knew what I was doing and why. Sounds like what a good reference book should do.

This is a pretty good book for learning HTML and XHTML. It's very basic, and perfect for a beginner. Most codes are explained thoroughly, however, sometimes the author just writes a code to do a job and doesnt explain how it works or how exactly to use it.

It has ALOT of important information about creating a website and how to test a website, so you can meet all your users needs.

I would recommend this book to a beginner who wants to learn more about HTML/XHTML or someone who would like a great reference book.
