A great book; a veritable bible for circuit design engineers. Each circuit is very brief; but includes a reference to the original book, magazine article, data sheet, or technical paper that it came from. Not only does it show you the currently "fashionable" way to build any particular circuit; it also shows you dozens of other ways to implement the same thing. This provides a historical perspective. If this isn't enough, John Markus wrote several of these books, each covering different ranges of years and types of circuits.
