Very helpful. If you want to spend a few days or up to a week in Turkey, this can help you a lot.

Perhaps if the section on public transportation was expanded (including maps, etc), and the section on Turkish language was more complete, it would've been an even better book.
  • Skillet
I am a faithful Lonely Planet user; however, this was the first time I'd ever purchased one of their Pocket City Guides. I absolutely loved the size and content. It gave excellent descriptions of all the main sites as well as great maps. The only drawback was that the book is lacking on the hotel/restaurant information - though that is how they managed the great size.
  • Quttaro
OK, but pretty out of date and mostly filled with relatively uninspired advice. You'd do better with Google, Google Maps, and a little bit of wikipedia.
  • Anarasida
Great, focused, convenient book on Istanbul. Good tips, great size. Highly recommend this book if your Turkey trip is only Istanbul.
  • Grillador
Very poorly organised and little information provided about the very significant sights in a wonderful tourist destination. Much better to buy any guide book you can find on any street corner in Istanbul.
  • Direbringer
This is a terrific little guidebook to carry around the great big city. It has good descriptions of the major tourist sights, including neighborhood maps which are very helpful. Istanbul is a huge city, but most tourists are particularly interested in very particular areas, and this book shows them. There is also a foldout all Istanbul map, restaurant listings, transportation info, etc. etc.
  • MOQ
A good size for my purse, and provides all the info that I need for a fabulous trip. Fast shipping.
