The last in the Young Underground series, the storyline continues to be strong. Matthias has proposed to Mrs. Melchior and so Henrik thinks his days in Helsingor are now limited as Matthias is planning on taking them to Palestine. Peter, Elise and family are planning a trip to Ho to visit with their aunt and uncle who they last saw 2 years ago when the war was on.

Who faces death as Uncle Morten, Lisbeth, Peter, Elise and Henrik make their way on bicycles ahead of the rest? Will Peter finally get to share with Henrik about Jesus? What has Henrik been reading?

When finally all reunited in Ho, more unexpected drama/danger occurs. Who saves the 'day' this time? Certainly not who you would expect.

We also meet up again in this story with Pastor Kai, his wife, son and Johanna, the little German orphan girl.

Well-written book that is great as a read aloud for the whole family or for independent readers to read by themselves. As a family we have now read the entire Young Underground Series and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them all. Each one has been different but all have been interesting and I think it is wonderful that they actually incorporate some real history too. What a great way to learn! Don't hesitate to purchase them today!

The end of one of the BEST series of juvenile fiction.

Robert Elmer wove such great stories into the Young Underground series. I'm sad that it had to stop with book #8, but... as they say, all good things must come to an end.

I especially enjoyed Touch the Sky because it brought a few running plots to completion, and ended perfectly.

I'm a fan of this series because of a few key points:
- The books contain solid, Christian morals.
- They bring the World War II/post-war era to life for the reader.
- Fun adventures are experienced through the power of words.

These are books I'll keep in my family forever. Buy the series for your kids and grandkids to read! (Available in print or ebook formats.)

fun to read about kids their own age doing things that really made a difference in others lives. Really like WW2 as the backdrop or a little after World War 2. Some good history in here also.
